My Experience at Slash My Search

As I mentioned earlier, today is Day 6 of my membership on SlashMySearch. I have used the search engine sparingly, usually less than 20 minutes per day. I have made $26.37 as of today. The majority of my money has come from my referrals. This site is relatively new. It was started in August of 2006. Since this site is still new and in a beta stage, it is very easy to find referrals because practically nobody has heard of it. By the way, this site pays through paypal, egold, or check.

Why use Slash My Search?

SlashMySearch is a new search engine designed to get the best results on the internet quickly and effectively. When visiting search results, they load them into a frame with tools at the top to help easily return to the search results, try different search terms or close the frame and surf the result in a full window. They also have a thumbnail of each site next to each search result, which I like a lot.

How To Maximize Your Earnings

From my experience I have learned a few things that can help boost your earnings and I will list them here.

1. The first thing you will want to do is set your homepage on your browser to your unique link (example: http://www.slashmysearch.com/earn/id/30300). Be sure to set your homepage to your unique link, not just slashmysearch.com so they can track your activity and pay you. This isn't necessary, but makes things a lot easier in my opinion.

2. Make sure that the green circle icon is visible at the very bottom of the page, which means tracking of your activity and earnings is active and works proparly.

3. To start earning, just search as you normally would on Google or Yahoo. It is that easy!

4. Use your homepage search for ALL your needs. Even if you are visiting your email account, search for it first and access it from the search results. It may be easier to use bookmarks on your browser, but this only takes an extra 10 seconds and will earn you a lot more in the long run.
For example, whenever I access my Hotmail account, I search for "hotmail.com", click on the results page, and then login from there after I have removed the SlashMySearch frame.

5. If you really want to make a ton of money with this program, then referrals is what you should primarily focus on. This adds to quite a few dollars a day without any effort from me and it is where I make the majority of my money. Do not underestimate the power of multiplication! It isn't necessary to do any of the above things except for #2 in order to make money, but I do recommend taking advantage of all of them.
